As an employee at Aarhus University, you can publish your PhD dissertation, monograph, edited volume, report etc. via our publishing platform Open Books.
This is an offer for publications which are not suited for publication as journal articles, or for publication with a commercial publisher, but still deserve to be published and shared with your peers.
You do not pay to publish your manuscript on this platform, and readers can access the publication without payment or log in, which means that it is a Diamond Open Access publication.
If you would like to publish your manuscript at Open Books, you first need to register as a user, and then you can upload your manuscript. Your manuscript has to be ready for publication, i.e. we will not review it or change the layout. You need to make sure you have the rights to publish everything that is included in your manuscripts, including all pictures/figures and journal articles that may be a part of your manuscript. You also need to make sure that your co-authors (if any) accept that your manuscript will be published on the platform.
NB: The publication platform Open Books was formerly called AU Library Scholarly Publishing Service, and it was located at the URL: ebooks.au.dk. If you had created a user for that platform, this user will also give you access to Aarhus University’s site at Open Books, unless it has been deleted due to inactivity.
