Cases

The Case Centre offers the possibility of searching for cases on business and management via their database. For the present the database contains more than 70,000 cases.

It is free for everyone to search in the database and to see limited information about the individual cases.

Aarhus University is a member of The Case Centre. The membership implies that all employees have the possibility of enrolling and ordering cases to be used as teaching material – for payment.

Ordering of cases

  • Teachers or secretaries themselves order cases from The Case Centre (registrations is required).
  • AU Library does not place the orders, but will of course help with solving any problems that may arise.

Payment of cases

  • Payment for all copies and their dispatch falls on the departments, the teachers, or the teaching programmes that order the material. It is the person who actually orders the individual case who will receive the invoice from The Case Centre.
  • Many inspection copies are accessible electronically via The Case Centre. Inspection copies are for preview. Inspection copies can be download as pdf files and require registration in order to make downloading possible.
  • Copies to be handed out or permission to reproduce cases can be bought for prices from $3.75/€3.75/£2.90 for permission to make a copy for one student. Read more about prices
  • One copy (or one permission) for each student has to be bought. You are not allowed to copy nor to hand out cases without previous permission from The Case Centre.

Registration with ECCH (only possible for employees at AU)

It is possible for AU employees to be register with The Case Centre.

  • As a registered user you can download an inspection copy in pdf format

Electronic downloads

It is possible to receive an electronic Case Master in encrypted form (pdf). From this you can copy/print the desired number of cases. However, you still have to buy a permission to make copies/prints for the number of students who are to have a copy of each individual case.
