What is the materials library?

  • The materials library is a collecion of different physical materials, e.g. different types of plastic, metal and sustainable materials.
  • The materials are arranged in boxes, and the boxes show which materials are placed where.
  • The contents of the boxes are selected materials and are not exhaustive of what materials are available within the individual topics.

Where can you find the materials library?

You will find the physical materials library at AU Library, Birk Centerpark, where you are always welcome to come and look at the materials.

  • As an employee/lecturer at AU Herning, it is possible to borrow a box for your lecture/teaching.
  • As a student, you can see and use the boxes on site.

What can you find in the materials library?

The boxes in the materials library are divided into the following categories:

  • Inspiration box: Here you will find a variety of small material samples of special materials that may not necessarily be in mass production yet. Or perhaps the material is no longer in production. Please note that the material descriptions are dated.
