Use the kitchen facilities at AU Library

Many of the service locations at AU Library have different kitchen facilities, which you can use when you are in the library. It may be, for example, that you need to keep your food cold, or warm it up, while you are studying at the library.

Det Kgl. Bibliotek - Aarhus

  • Facilities: Boiling water taps, microwaves, fridges.
  • Location: The kitchen facilities are located in the basement. When you go down the stairs you find the facilities to your left, next to the lockers.
  • Guide: You can find guidelines for using the facilities next to the facilities themselves.

Bartholins Allé

  • Facilities: Kettle, microwave, fridge.
  • Location: The kitchen facilities are placed in the "relax room" in building 1340, second floor. 
  • Guide: Please note the guidelines for using the room and the fridge which you can find in the room.

Campus Emdrup

  • Facilities: In their user-managed kitchen, Campus Emdrup have installed 2 microwaves, electric kettles, a fridge and cafetieres. There are also two coffee tables with chairs, where you can sit and enjoy your food.
  • Location: The user-managed kitchen is located in room B143, which is located on the ground floor in the twenty-four-hour open area.
  • Guide: The kitchen is user-managed.

Fuglesangs Allé

  • Facilities: Microwave, fridge and water dispenser.
  • Location: Building 2624, "Study Lounge" (E-wing).
  • Guide: We expect you to clean up after yourself. The fridges will be emptied and cleaned every Friday at 13.30 pm. We will throw away food from the fridges if it has not been removed from the fridge at the appointed time.


  • Facilities: Coffee vending machines, electric kettle, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, toaster and tableware.
  • Location: The kitchen facilities are located in room 129 in building 4230.
  • Guide: The kitchen is user-managed, and we expect you to clean up after yourself.

Nobel Park

  • Facilities: Coffee vending machine, electric kettle, microwave, fridge and a snack vending machine.
  • Location: The kitchen facilities are located in building 1463 on the ground floor.
  • Guide: The kitchen is user-managed, and a guide on how the use of the different facilities can be found in the kitchen.


  • Facilities: A fridge, electric kettles, microwave, coffee vending machine and snack vending machine.
  • Location: All the facilities are located on the 3rd floor in the kitchenette.
  • Guide: It is the student's own responsibility to maintain order in the kitchen.
