How to use the library print facilities

Print and pay 

The library print facilities consist of two parts:

  1. Upload to print
    This is where you save the documents you plan to print from your account
  2. Insert money to print/copy 
    This is your payment account which gives you access to our prices, your balance and methods of payment

Where can I use the print facilities?

You can use our printers at AU Library/Det Kgl. Bibliotek. Find a list of available print sites.

How do I get started with printing?

To use our print facilities you need to be a registered user at AU Library/Det Kgl. Bibliotek.

If you are already a registered user at AU Library/Det Kgl. Bibliotek you have access to your print account at AU Library/Det Kgl. Bibliotek.

If you need to register, please continue to register: https://www.kb.dk/en/become-library-user.

Print

You can print your documents from any printer connected to the library's print network, if you have money on your print account.

Remember to save the document on your print account first.  

How to print from your print account:

  1. Log on to your print account at AU Library/Det Kgl. Bibliotek
  2. Upload your documents
    • Click "Browse" and then click on the document you would like to print
    • Mark the document and click "Open", then click "Next"
    • Wait while the system loads your document. This might take a minute depending on the speed of your computer and the size of the file
    • When the document has been uploaded, please click the button saying "Click here:..." matching the print format that you wish to use
    • You may select the following formats: Microsoft Office, OpenOffice, PDF, JPG, GIF, PNG, TIF, BMP
  3. Colour prints, specific pages etc.
    • If you wish to print specific pages, more copies or colour copies, please click the ☐ "Advanced" and select from the next menu. Then click the "Click here: ..." button
    • Please note that if you print a document containing colour using a colour printer, you will pay for a colour copy of the whole print job
  4. Ready to print
    • Now the document is ready for print from your print account. Please go to the printer you wish to use and log on to the machine
    • Please note: Documents are stored for 10 days before being deleted automatically from your print account
  5. Please "Log out"

Pay

When you log on to your print account you get:

  • A list of the current documents stored on your account
  • The cost of the print of each document - black/white or colour
  • Your balance
  • Access to deposit money on your account

How to put money on your print account etc.

  1. Log on to your print account at AU Library/Det Kgl. Bibliotek
  2. Payment
    • Click "ePay"
    • Write your emailadress and the amount you wish to deposit on your print account (Note: minimum DKK 10)
    • Choose payment method and complete the payment
  3. Price
    • Click "Documents"
    • Mark the text "Preview price based on selected charging scheme"
    • Click "Colourprint" or "Black/white" to see the price of each print format (the price is visible to the right of the documents)
      Please note: if you print a document stored as a colour print on a black/white printer you will only be charged the price of a black/white print
  4. Balance
    • Click on "Transactions"
    • Your balance is visible at the top right hand corner "Disposable"
    • Your prints, copies and deposits are visible in the menu
  5. Keep document
    • Click "Documents"
    • Click the document you wish to keep on your print account after print
    • Click the button "Retain" above the document view
  6. Delete document
    • Click "Documents"
    • Click the document you wish to delete from your print account
    • Click the button "Delete" above the document view
    • Click "OK"
  7. Logout at the top right hand corner
